Ultraviolet Germicidal, what a name sure sounds nasty. I have received several comments about UV light."The good the bad and the ugly" The UV lamps that create the Ultraviolet light to clean the air your family breath. Because they are of a high output you can't look straight at the uv light, but you can't look at the sun either. That doesn't mean that is bad. You're not going to sun bath in it!

On your wall thermostat change fan to circulate.

 

# Two this should probably be install by your hvac tech. It won't take very long, 30 minutes. So you can see cost to have  these uv lamps installed would be a minimal. But the return on your investment is huge. Your air quality for your family's health is the very best. Ultraviolet lights come in several voltages "24v,120v,240volt.So you need to know what the tech prefers. Although the uv lights that use 120v are the easiest to install. Mostly because there is 120 volt outlet next to your furnace. No fuss and less payable time.

 

# Three, these are the same basic steps as #One. You have to measure the height and the width of the duct. The Uv light has to fit inside the duct, measure down to the middle and cut the hole install uv lamp, plug it in. Check your thermostat, change fan to circulate. The air has to be moving so the allergens are zapped. Now you and your family will have the cleanest air and a sanitized duct the healthiest breathing possible.
